What are my Warranty Coverage options?

BuzzOptics offers a 1-Year Limited Warranty on all devices, units, and instruments.

All warranty periods commence upon day of delivery, not upon the day of purchase.

BuzzOptics offers a limited warranty (detailed on the individual product page, and/or quote) on all devices, units, and instruments (excluding disposable supplies and parts) from the date of delivery unless otherwise specified. It does not cover:

(i) Installation, removal or disposal of the Covered Equipment, or the provision of equipment while the Covered Equipment is being serviced;

(ii) Damage caused by (a) a product that is not the Covered Equipment (b) accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause, (c) operating the Covered Equipment outside the permitted or intended uses described by the manufacturer, or (d) service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of BuzzOptics or a BuzzOptics Authorized Service Provider;

(iii) Covered Equipment with a serial number that has been altered, defaced or removed, or has been modified to alter its functionality or capability without the written permission of the manufacturer;

(iv) Covered Equipment that has been lost or stolen. This Plan only covers Covered Equipment that is returned to BuzzOptics in its entirety;

(v) Cosmetic damage to the Covered Equipment including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports;

(vi) Consumable parts, such as batteries, lightbulbs, or disposable accessories;

(vii) Preventative maintenance on the Covered Equipment; or

(viii) Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to normal aging of the product.

At the sole discretion of BuzzOptics, your device/equipment may be repaired, replaced, or refunded under valid warranty coverage. Depending on the condition of the instrument, it may need to be sent into BuzzOptics’ facility for service and/or repair. In the event this is required, original packaging must be used during the return shipment. 

Q: Can warranties be renewed or extended?

A: Items purchased on or after January 1, 2020 are not eligible for warranty renewal or extension.

A Few Things:

-BuzzOptics revised warranty protection on January 1, 2020 to offer BuzzCare+ as standard on most products. This revision substituted standard 90-day coverage, and eliminated the optional BuzzCare+ upgrade.
